* The Convention Recommendations

The 1998 Constitutional Convention resolved that Australia should become a republic and the Government will hold a constitutional referendum in 1999 to decide this issue. The details of the endorsed republican model and final Convention Communiqué are provided here!

Volumes 1 to 4 of the Constitutional Convention Report are available from Commonwealth Government bookshops (AusInfo). The reports cover the Report of Proceedings, Appendices, and Hansard of weeks 1 and 2. Reports are available individually or as a set - the complete set costs $61.80.
