History

* The Republic Advisory Committee

The Republic Advisory Committee (RAC) was established by the former Government on 28 April 1993 to "prepare an options paper which describes the minimum constitutional changes necessary to achieve a viable Federal Republic of Australia, without examining options which would otherwise change our way of government."

This section contains a review of the RAC report delivered to the Government on 5 October 1993, and the official response to the report delivered by the Government on 7 June 1995.
