ACT Branch Daytime Discussion Groups

The ACT Branch meet every two months to discuss the major issues facing us in moving towards a republic. The meetings are open to ARM members, supporters and interested members of the public.

If you have suggestions for future topics please email them to ACT Events. A useful source for possible topics are the three submissions to the 'Senate Legal and Constitutional References Committee Inquiry into an Australian Republic'. Below are links to these submissions.

Next Daytime Meeting...

When: 12:30 Tuesday 26th August 2008

Where: Private Dining Room, Woden Southern Cross Club.

Discussion Topic: The current role of the Governor-General.

ACT Monthly Meetings

Regular meetings are held at 7:45pm on the 1st Monday of the month (except where this is a public holiday) at the Italo-Australian Club , 78 Franklin Street Forrest ACT.

Meetings are open to members, prospective members and anyone interested in the establishment of our Australian Republic.

If you come along at 6:30pm or so you can usually catch up with a few of us in the bistro for a meal, a drink and a chat.

If you have trouble getting to meetings let us know and we will try to assist with transport.
