Who supports an Australian Republic?
On 6 November 1999, 46 per cent of Australian voters
said YES to an Australian Republic.
These people supported the republican model set out
at the 1998
Constitutional Convention.
Have a look at what some prominent
Australians had to say in the lead up to the
1999 Referendum.
Many Australians continue to support the movement
towards an Australian Republic.

becoming a republic, there are many ways to show
your support.
You can become a member
