Republican Poem
That the A.R.M was off and running free,
And had joined the other countries with Heads of State their own,
To start the process here, as soon can be.
Ten years ago the Royalists with Howard at their head
Made sure the process stopped dead in its tracks.
But now the mood has changed and theres new folk at the helm,
And the time is ripe to have another crack.
They're gathering up in Canberra to think of all these things
And the better start to get them on the way
Well the A.R.M will be there and it's aiming pretty high,
To let the Aussie people have their say.
This time there'll be no stopping till the deed is done and won,
And there'll be no part regret or any failure,
As voices call so loudly from all across the land
For an Aussie Head of State for our Australia.
