Tim Mayfield has been the National Director of the Australian Republican Movement since May 2015. Prior to that he worked in various roles including as Executive Officer to former Foreign Minister Gareth Evans and for the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade.
Tim was too young to vote in the 1999 republican referendum but made up for it by leading the campaign in his classroom's mock referendum - securing on overwhelming majority of 25-1 in favour of an Australian republic.
He lives in Melbourne with his wife and two boys. In his spare time, Tim can be found playing footy for the North Old Boys in the Victorian Amateur Football Association or at the MCG watching his beloved Melbourne Demons.
